Born and raised in the Philippines, I started learning how to play the keyboard at age 5. At age 7, I started with my lifelong mentor Mrs. Sylvia Javellana. Mrs. Javellana has not only taught me how to play the piano and read notes. She also taught me hard work and discipline. I studied music, majoring in Piano Performance at the University of the Philippines and graduated "cum laude." After college I went straight into teaching with Mrs. Javellana at her studio in Bacolod City, Philippines. I performed with my students as well in our recital and tour trips to Europe. Its been 8 years since I started teaching here in South Jersey.  With all the information readily available in the internet and studying online. My teaching has evolved from classical training to a mix of creative and traditional approach. I can't believe I am playing games with my students. Anything to make learning fun! We do not only learn how to read notes and properly play them. We also try to create music.
