1. How long should my lessons be?

            30 mins is enough for a young to teen beginner. It depends after a few months or years if 30 mins works with the student. I will suggest a longer lesson when needed.

            For beginning adults, a 45-minute lesson would be more appropriate.

2. Where are the piano lessons held?

            Piano lessons are held at home studio in Gloucester City, New Jersey.

3. Do you teach online?

            Yes, I teach online especially to students who live out of state, abroad and to those who live at a considerable distance.

4. Do I need a piano at home? 

            Yes, you will need an instrument to practice on. For beginners, you can purchase at least have a 49 or 61 key keyboard. In the long run, you will need a full 88 keyboard or an acoustic piano. Please note in buying a small keyboard that your key width is around 7/8 of an inch.

5.  How much practice is necessary?

            Practicing is regular activity that helps an individual master a skill. It depends on what you are comfortable with. When you are more loyal to your routine, you will progress much faster.

            Little ones and beginners can start practicing at 8-10 mins a day. The minutes and hours are all up to you. I do recommend a lot of short (15-20 min.) focused practicing. It could be once to several times a day.

6. What books do I need and where do I get them?

            Books and other materials are included in the monthly tuition.

7. What is the youngest age student will you accept?

            I accept as young as 4 years old. (In person lessons only).

8. How old can a student start lessons as a beginner online? 

            I prefer students who is at least 8 years old if you are starting your child online.

9. Do your students get to perform?

           Students are strongly encouraged to participate in the annual end of school year recital in June. So far we have done solo, small group and studio wide recitals. If a student is very shy or has anxiety performing in front of people, we will have a recording of mastered pieces instead.

10. Do you offer group lessons?

           I do not offer group lessons, but currently enrolled students are welcome to attend special group sessions offered during the school year.

11. What type of music can I learn?

           You may learn all different kinds of music. Especially when you get all your basics down, we can explore music of different genres. The opportunities are wide when you know how to read music and know music theory as well.

12. I am ready to enroll, how do I register? 

            First, please contact me for availability and then go to the log-in page to register.

13. How do I pay?

            I accept cash, checks or payment through Venmo. Monthly payments are due the first lesson of each month.
