Audio Settings for the Zoom App

Online lessons require a good internet connection in your home and if possible with two devices. The first device is used in front of the student. It is much more effective that the student sees me in front by their books especially when trying to get their attention.  Another device is placed to the side of the keyboard to see hand position. Make sure your second device is muted or there will be feedback.  Zoom was made primarily for voices. Turning on the original sound in Zoom will enable the teacher to hear both keyboard and the student. Before you follow the directions, please download the Zoom app on your device.

Setting up your Zoom app for
iOS devices

Zoom is originally made for voices and not for musical instruments. Thus, we have to disable the sensitiveness of the Zoom audio to background noises. The picture to the right is the home page of the Zoom app on an iPad. First, press the three little dots above the word more.
